Our first ever Juneteenth event as a huge success. We thank all the friends and supporters of the museum for attending and for your donations.

The song, Frederick Douglass, is performed by Rumer.

We thank Darrell Brown for his drone video of the event. Mr. Brown and his wife Christina reside in Washington, D.C. and are supporters of the museum

.

The video begins with the words from Frederick Douglass' speech, “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July", narrated by James Earl Jones. Also included are the comments from key benefactor and Highland Beach resident, Greg Nixon.
